*Here at ALC, we help kids love church. The nursery and preschool classes are loving and peaceful environments designed to care for and nurture children birth through age 5. Because children develop differently, the ALC Kids Nursery is divided by age groups. We recommend parents bring a diaper bad and bottle, both labeled with the child’s name. Please feel welcome to bring any comfort items your child might have such as a blanket or toy. You will also want to bring a change of clothes for your child if needed. We are available during every adult worship service.

It is my first time at ALC. What do I do first?
No worries! We will take great care of you and your child at our check-in station. Our volunteers will help you with all your needs so that you can enjoy a great worship service knowing your child is being loved and nurtured.

How old does my child have to be to attend the nursery?
We recommend that your child is at least 6 weeks old.

How will you contact me if my child needs me?
An inconsolable or unwell child’s parent will be paged with a pager given at the check-in station. If a child is in the preschool class (ages 3 – 5 years), a number will be given to the parent at the check-in station. This number will flash on the main screen in the Worship Center if a parent is needed.

Will my child have the same teacher each week?
Yes. Our teachers work on a monthly rotation.

Is there a private area available for nursing mothers?
Yes. Behind the check-in counter down the hallway, you will find a quiet area made especially for nursing mothers with rocking chairs, a changing table, a sink and a microwave for your convenience.

How does ALC Kids keep parents involved in their child’s experience at church? We believe the best way for parents to be involved in what their child is learning is to become a part of the team that teaches your child. Each week, volunteers do everything from greeting families to teaching to leading children in worship. If you are interested in volunteering, there are many positions available for you to serve. Each week children ages 1st – 4th grade come together in different aged classroom settings to learn about God in fun and creative ways. Since children this age are so impressionable, it is our passion to see the love of Jesus Christ reign in their precious hearts. They will come to know that Jesus loves them unconditionally, that He made them and that He wants to live in their hearts forever.

This age group is probably when many feel the most confident on what their calling is in life. Whether its college life, missions, career oriented, marriage or all of the above, “Element” will be here to help guide and encourage you in the most important decisions you will ever make at this time in your life. Come join us as we meet together weekly and share the love of Christ together.

2R1 is a unique class for married or engaged couples. It takes place in an informal setting where one will experience fellowship with God and with other couples. Marriage is God’s idea and can be one of life’s most rewarding relationships. This class will take your marriage to a new level!

“That is, that you and I may be mutually encouraged by each other’s faith.” Roamans 1:12 Abundant Life Church recognizes the unique spiritual value to be gained from outreaches designed exclusively for the men and women of the congregation. When men come together or when women come together, hearts open in a special way and lives are changed.

The ladies of our church come together for times of worship, fellowship and encouragement. Special guests are invited to share God’s Word to minister strength to all who attend the various functions. By connection with the ladies fellowship you will develop great relationships and help meet the needs of other women who need encouragement.

The Bible declares, “How good and how pleasant it is for men to dwell together in unity.” The men of ALC come together for special times of fellowship. Every January the men enjoy a “wild game cookout.” Special dishes of wild game are prepared, along with plenty of “not so wild” game. The evening is always an enjoyable occasion. Throughout the year special times are enjoyed as men come together for prayer, teaching and fellowship.

Our OASIS (Older Adults Steadfast In Service) Ministry is for the older saints who desire God’s will for their lives. Every other month in the Fellowship Hall, OASIS members meet to share a meal, receive a word of encouragement, and fellowship together. Members can also become involved through volunteer work, such as greeting, ushering, teaching, helping, etc. Special highlights include an annual Thanksgiving meal and a Christmas Party for all members!
